Pros:Cordless, fewer false alerts than others, has earphone jack built in
Cons:Low volume(not an issue with earphone)hard to see display sometimes No POP alert

Good basic detector but lacking in critical areas
Review created: Apr 11, 2006
by:
jlc2005
Pros:Small, sleek styling, above average performance with conventional radar.
Cons:Does not detect photo radar effectively.
The Bottom Line:This detector would get a higher rating if it performed as well with photo as it does with conventional radar threats. For less money, the Passport does a better job.

by:
billyin4see21
Pros:Good detection range and the back light and programmable features are convienent.
Cons:The controls are too small and no detection arrows like the Valentine 1.
The Bottom Line:My final recommendation is buy this detector, but if you have the money go for the more expensive Valentine 1. The Solo S2 is worth the money.

Pros:Cordless which makes it easy to move from car to car, includes nice carrying case.
Cons:Poor display, poor placement of mute button, shorter detection range than Valentine One.
The Bottom Line:Convenient, but not the best at detection, operation, layout or usability. Spend the extra $69 and get the V1 unless you absolutely don't want a power cord.

Pros:Nice design, ease of use, somewhat small could be smaller, great battery life.
Cons:WAY TOO many false alarms, VG-2 Radar Detector Detector Immunity is the WORST!! Expensive.
The Bottom Line:Does not perform as promised...period. MotorTrend gave it the best radar award Feb. 2004, it wasn't real world testing, don't forget Escort spends TONS of money on advertising.
